Dundee Burns Club will host a number of events in January and February 2023 to celebrate the birthday of Robert Burns, including the return of the club’s in-person Burns Supper for the first time since the pandemic.
On Wednesday 25th January @ 1pm, members of the club will gather at the Burns statue in Albert Square for speeches and performances before returning to the club premises on Union Street for refreshments.
Two Burns Suppers will take place on Saturday 21st January and Saturday 11th February.
Please contact Dundee Burns Club for more information on these events.
Dundee Burns Club was founded in 1860 by ‘Burnsians’ keen to promote the poetic works and democratic ideals and values of Scotland’s national bard.
The club was the driving force behind the erection of the statue to Robert Burns in Dundee’s Albert Square and has held an annual Burns Supper in Dundee every year since 1861.
The club is registered as Number 14 on the Roll of the Robert Burns World Federation and is one of the very few to maintain its own premises, with clubrooms in the centre of Dundee.
